Merdeka 118 - How Tall Is It?
The Merdeka 118, a 118-story megatall skyscraper, located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With a total structural height of 678.9 m (2,227) Merdeka is the tallest skyscraper in Malaysia, Tallest in south east asia, and the second tallest in the world after Burj Khalifa situated In UAE.
The construction Merdeka started in 2014 and was completed in 2023. The skyscraper’s design draws inspiration from the outstretched hand gesture made by Malaysia 's first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman on August 31 st 1957, when he chanted “Merdeka” 7 times, to declare the Malaysia's independence in Stadium Merdeka, situated nearby the skyscraper.
