Flamingo Bucket List
Swimming with flamingos is a dream! This was a bucket list experience I never knew I needed! But in 172 countries, this was one of my favorite animal experiences 🥰🦩
Throughout the Caribbean there are wild flamingos. But like any wild animal, it's not a good idea to feed them.
But here in Aruba (a stop on our cruise!) there are friendly domesticated flamingos on Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort's private beach just waiting around for a snack! 😋 Once they saw we had food in our hands they came right up to us! I was shocked at how tall they were!! Not to mention flamingos have to be one of the most photogenic animals. 🥰
The entire beach was beautiful! We laid on rafts in the perfect blue water while the occasional school of fish or little reef shark swam by! We were so grateful to @renaruba for hosting us on their beautiful beach, and this is a definite must add bucket list item for anyone who loves beaches and flamingos! 💕
(One sad side note: this is also where I (Hud) fried my phone. I had a cracked screen for a while and always tried to keep it far away from the water. But the flamingos were enough of a distraction for me and I forgot my phone was in my pocket when I went for a swim. And this is the story of why we don't have any photos of Paraguay. I blame the cute flamingos 😜)
