If you want to hide the profile picture or the Dp of your WhatsApp application from certain contacts then what you do is go to WhatsApp here. Tap on this three dotted icons here. Select "settings". Go to "Privacy". Go to "Profile Photo". Right now everyone can see my profile photo but if I want to hide the profile photo from certain contact then what you have to select is you have to go to this option "MY contacts except" and then you can select any contact from whom you want to hide the profile photo and then tap on this tick arrow. Now that particular contact will not be able to see the profile picture of your WhatsApp application.
