Destiny 2 Dawning Event Guide in a Nutshell #shorts. The Dawning 2021 is upon us with more stuffs to add onto the 30th Anniversary grind! And there’s a whole bunch of things to do, but unfortunately, there’s no SRL, but maybe next year. (December 14, 2021 - January 4, 2022). First up, there are 2 new quests this year for the ships, sparrows, shaders, event weapons, and some of the rewards from last year. The 4 event weapons have new rolls including a new sword perk, Cold Steel, which is kinda meh. My favorite picks are Cold Front with Perpetual Motion and a damage perk and Glacioclasm with Reservoir Burst and many different control perks. And Avalanche still sucks big doo doo.
Dawning Spirit is received from dawning achievements, bounties and gifting and is used for upgrades and rewards. Upgrades include bonus event materials, more event weapon perk options, and snowball upgrades. Bounties are an easy way to get more XP for the stuff you're already doing. Even when gifting, the additional repeatable ones are great when they are the tower guys. The main course of the event is making cookies with various resources from the world. All cookie recipes are on screen and can be found online. Just make sure you Masterwork your oven to get a discount on cookie costs.
When it comes to farming, you can farm materials at the Altars of Sorrow, Thrallway, short lost sectors. And farming Dawning Essence from Gambit, Wrathborn Hunts, Heroic Public Events. Finally, Eververse will sell most Dawning cosmetics for Bright Dust at some point during the event and of course Silver throughout. And you don't want to miss out on that tiny sparrow!
