#1) Grand Overture is Total Ammo Damage and Burst DPS king. With a potential 3.3 million damage and 240k burst DPS, it’s not even close to everything else and you don’t need a catalyst to make it better. The main drawback is that it’s clunky to use, requires sustained fire, and has no champion rounds.
#2) Generally, shotguns have more dps than fusion rifles. Which makes sense since they're more dangerous to use and fusions require a lot of charge up time. However, rapid fire frame fusion rifles actually have higher DPS than the best legendary shotguns with the best perks. Not to mention better total ammo damage then them and all other legendary fusion rifle options.
#3) Heavy grenade launchers have better DPS and total ammo damage than legendary rocket launchers as long as you have plenty of orbs of power for explosive light. And with a big buff coming to grenade launchers, they may end up as a big part of the meta. Although, the bonus wolfpack rounds that Gjallarhorn gives to them, usually tips the scales in their favor.
