EDI talks is a monthly series of informal discussions aimed at raising awareness about equity-deserving topics. This is an open, informal, safe space for folks to share their stories within the framework of creating a more inclusive space within the Fanshawe community.
To recognize Black History Month, Troy Townsend (she/her), Fanshawe's anti-racism and inclusion specialist, welcomes faculty and staff to discuss the importance of Black history, barriers faced by Black Canadians and ideas for how institutions like Fanshawe can change or challenge those barriers.
Panelists:
Sheena Johnson-Brown, Faculty - London South
Jessica Jordan - Corporate Communications student
Omar Smith - program coordinator, School of Tourism, Hospitality and Culinary Arts
