In this video, you will be watching Most Dangerous Eagles | Birds of Prey. Hello, and welcome to the fact laboratory. Today we will be discussing 5 of the world's most dangerous eagle species. But first please consider subscribing to the channel if you like this kind of content. It would mean a lot to the lab! Now let's get started.

Number five! The Bald Eagle. One of the world's most recognizable birds, the bald eagle is also one of the most impressive. It is a large powerful bird that is very smart, and also known as a fierce predator, but can be an opportunistic scavenger at times as well. A true American icon, the bald eagle has been the national symbol of the United States of America since 1782. Their large wing span allows them to fly higher than most birds can. They have incredible vision, and with up to ten times the grip strength of that of a human, and impressive sharp talons that can yield up to 400 pounds of pressure per square inch, this bird can crush its prey with ease. The bald eagle may be a very beautiful bird, but it also proves to be just as dangerous as it is majestic!
Number four! The Harpy Eagle. This is a bird that is not afraid of humans at all. In fact, they will purposefully sit on their perch and wait to be approached by people. It is said that a Harpy Eagle is among one of the most patient birds of prey, sitting on their perch for up to twenty-three hours in a row to wait on their prey to present itself. The Harpy Eagle has the largest talons known to any Eagle species. They are also known to have one of the largest and most widespread diets known to many birds of prey. They tend to take on larger prey like monkeys and even baby deer. This is one powerful predator of the sky!
Number three! The Golden Eagle. Regarded with mythical reference in some cultures, inspiring both admirations as well as fear, this bird is one of North America's largest, fastest, and most agile raptors. It is not only built to be one of the most lethal birds in the sky, but it is also very intelligent, clever, and beyond brave. They will attack their prey with the sun at their backs, thus blinding their prey, using the sun as a weapon to their advantage. They have speed and strength and will use stealthy tactics when needed. If that's not enough, then they will use their sheer size and power to overwhelm their prey. They have sharp black tip beaks, with razor-like talons that can exert up to twelve hundred pounds of pressure per square inch, decimating anything in its clutch. Although they typically hunt smaller animals, they have been known to hunt very large ones as well, like lamb, adolescent brown bears, deer, and even wolves! It seems this bird of prey is not afraid of anything!

Number two! The Martial Eagle. Often regarded as one of the most powerful avian birds in Africa, the Martial Eagle is an apex predator to be aware of. The species' name literally means "war like". So it is no wonder this is one of the most notable African Eagles. It was given the nickname the "leopard of the air" due to how dangerous and effective a predator it is. The Martial Eagle has incredible vision and is known to be patient when hunting, waiting for the right moment to strike. It will circle its prey and then attack suddenly with a precise element of surprise. They are strong and fast, smart and fierce, and have been known to have enough strength to knock people right off their feet. It has been reported that they even have enough power to break a man's arm right in half. Whatever you do just make sure that you keep your distance while marveling at this amazing bird of prey.
Coming in at the top of our list Today is the much bolder, more fierce cousin to the previously mentioned Martial Eagle. Number One! The African Crowned Eagle. This bird is one of the largest eagle species, and some bird experts refer to it as possibly the most powerful raptor in Africa. With talons that are designed to work like meat hooks that grip their prey, and the ability to exert crushing pressure, the African crowned eagle is designed to be an apex predator of the sky. They are stealthy and will hunt at dawn or twilight to further confuse their prey. Possibly the most impressive, or scary trait is that they will accelerate at incredible speeds before closing in and delivering what is known as the death strike to their victims. Most birds of prey will carry their kills off, but the African crowned eagle will oftentimes deliver a single, fatal blow to the back of the neck or head, either severing the spinal cord, or crushing the skull of its prey. They have been known to hunt very large animals like monkeys, antelopes, and even humans. That's right, HUMANS!! It has been reported that a 7-year-old boy in South Africa was mauled, and his throat and chest were pierced by the eagles' talons. Incredibly the boy survived.
