AHV allows for the CPU generation to be configured on a per-VM basis using the Advanced Processor Compatibility (APC) function. APC allows for Live Migrating workloads between clusters with different CPU generations and also provides the ability to present a specific CPU for an application that may have a specific dependency on a set of features.
