Apple makes buying audiobooks through iTunes a convenient and easy experience. However, Apple makes finding purchased audiobooks on your iPhone or iPad a headache. This video will show you where to look for audiobooks on your iPhone or iPad, and how to redownload past iTunes audiobook purchases to your device.

Step 1. Locate the iBooks app on your iPhone or iPad home screen. The iBooks app features an orange background with a white silhouette of a book on it. Tap the "iBooks" app to launch it. The iBooks app opens, and defaults to displaying all of your books that are downloaded to this specific device.

Step 2. Tap "All Books" in the top, middle part of your screen. The Collections screen appears.

Step 3. Tap "Audiobooks" in the list of options on the Collections screen. The Audiobooks screen appears, displaying all of your purchased iTunes audiobooks that have been downloaded to this device. Tap any audiobook in this list to start listening to it. Alternatively, if you know that you've purchased audiobooks from Apple through iTunes, tap "Purchased" in the lower right corner of the Audiobooks screen. The Purchased screen appears.

Step 4. Tap "Audiobooks" in the Purchased section. Another Audiobooks screen appears.

Step 5. Tap "All Audiobooks" in the list of options. A list of all of the audiobooks you've purchased through Apple iTunes is displayed. Audiobooks you've already downloaded to your iPhone or iPad will have a Play button to the right of them, while audiobooks not currently downloaded to the device you're currently using will have a Download icon to the right of them. The Download icon looks like a cloud with a down-pointing arrow in the lower middle part of it.

Step 6. Tap the "Download" icon to the right of any books you want to download. The Download icon will change to be a blue circle with a blue square in the center of it. The circle around the square will slowly become bolder as the audiobook is downloaded to your device. The progress icon to the right of the audiobook will turn into a Play button when it's finished downloading. The audiobook you just downloaded will now be displayed in the Audiobooks part of My Books when you navigate back to that.
