I'll show you three ways to insert emojis & type special characters (such as the trademark and copyright symbols, fractions, Greek letters, etc.) in Windows 10. Depending on the situation, you can use the emoji keyboard, Alt codes, or the Character Map.
Quick reference guide
-------------------------------------------------
METHOD #1: Emoji Keyboard
This menu gives you quick access to many symbols, not just emojis. Press Windows key + period (.) to access it.
METHOD #2: Alt codes
Hold down Alt, and type the numeric code for the character you want to print. Common ones include 0169 for the © symbol, and 7 for a round bullet. A full list can be found at https://www.alt-codes.net/
METHOD #3: Character Map
Go to the Run dialog box (Windows key + R) and type 'charmap' to launch the Character Map. Click on the character you want, then press the 'Select' and 'Copy' buttons. Paste the character in your document.
