Getting to KNOW a JAZZ STANDARD: "I Concentrate on You" (Cole Porter)
In this lesson, I'll show you how I approach learning jazz standards, using Cole Porter's fantastic "I Concentrate on You". If you really want to understand a song like this, you'll need more than 'The Real Book' or the iReal Pro app — tho' they can be useful resources as well. I recommend listening to recordings of the song from a variety of eras, studying the original sheet music, and transposing to at least a few other keys.
