Pathfinder Kingmaker - How to Defeat Troll King Hargulka and Tartuk the Easy Way
In this video, I'll show you the best strategy to defeat the Troll King Hargulka and his kobold buddy Tartuk in Pathfinder Kingmaker.

The first time I played this I thought this fight was impossible, but they can be defeated! For both of these enemies, their kryptonite is a spell called HIDEOUS LAUGHTER. You truly need this spell for this boss fight. This spell causes them to fall over in laughter, rendering them unable to fight until they make a successful will save.
Before the fight you should also buff up your party with the following:
1) Anything that boosts AC for your frontline characters (Ring of Protection, Best Armor you have, Potions of Mage Armor / Shield of Faith)
2) Other buffs that make you harder to hit - Blur or Displacement on Warriors, Mirror Image on Wizards / Sorcerers
3) Cast any summons you have pre-fight. They will be helpful in distracting Hargulka.
4) Cast haste on your party right before you trigger the dialogue / start the fight. This way you'll have haste enabled right when the fight starts
Once the fight begins:
1) Cast Hideous Laughter on Hargulka. If it fails cast it again. If he gets up, cast it again. And again. Target all damage to Hargulka. The fight will go much more smoothly if you finish him off first.
2) If Tartuk gets his haste spell off and your Hideous Laughter spell fails in round 1, then cast Dispel Magic on Hargulka to remove haste. Otherwise, he will start wrecking everything. Keep casting Hideous Laughter too.
Once Hargulka is downed:
1) Turn all attention to Tartuk. Cast Hideous Laughter on him as well if you can. He should go down like a giggling sack of potatoes.
2) Tartuk is very tough to hit due to AC and concelment buffs. Burning Arc and Fireball work well here.
That's pretty much all there is to it. This strategy will work on any difficulty, although on Hard / Unfair you may have to try a few times depending on your RNG with Hideous Laughter. It took me two tries to beat it on Challenging.
For Hard / Unfair, I also recommend more summons / animal companions if you have them because Hargulka basically one shots everything on the highest difficulties, so you need to keep him distracted away from your main party members.
