OPACITY vs FLOW brush settings in Photoshop
What is the difference between flow & opacity in Photoshop? What even is Flow & how does it work!? This has confused me for as long as I can remember, so I decided I would finally do some research, have a play around, and figure it out so I can share it with others. I found it quite challenging to explain, so hopefully I worded it well enough to make sense.
Anyway... I hope this helped if you have been trying to figure out how to use the flow brush setting in Photoshop, or if you just wondered what the difference between flow and opacity actually is. I think you could get some quite effective 'traditional art' style using flow instead of opacity, but there is probably a bit of a learning curve / getting used to it first. For me I am happy to use the opacity setting with pressure sensitivity switched on ( tablet & pen not a mouse)
