Yes, there are TWO different Lightrooms to choose from!

Most professional and serious hobbyist photographers use Lightroom Classic. It's more powerful, integrates better with Photoshop and other third-party software, and forces you to store your images locally.

On the other hand, Lightroom is designed for on-the-go photographers who want to make basic adjustments to their images in Lightroom. Images are stored on the cloud and can be accessed and edited anywhere via mobile, desktop, or web. The interface is a bit more modern, so it may also be easier for some to use.

Eventually, I suspect Adobe will merge the two together into one super Lightroom. But for now, the choice of which software you want to use is yours.
