How to make a basic sketch pencil brush in adobe photoshop custom brush tutorial
Easy to follow tutorial showing how to make a custom sketch pencil brush in photoshop, these tips will also help you make any other type of custom brush. This tutorial is made in adobe photoshop and is intended for use with a graphics tablet, I am using a cintiq 13HD in the video.
As mentioned in the video, you could play around with the settings a lot more to improve the brush, I just wanted to get the basics down without spending too long boring you guys, try playing around with the textures too :)
Also please watch the video in the highest quality you can (which should be 1080p) so that you can properly see the textured effect from the brush, otherwise it will seem like I am talking rubbish :P
EDIT - I have been getting a ton of messages through about the shape dynamics not working. To be able to use shape dynamics, you need pen pressure, if you are using a mouse you do not have any levels of pen pressure so this will not work. You must be using a graphics tablet for this to work. Otherwise you will get a triangle error symbol with an exclamation mark inside the triangle next to the pen pressure drop down box. Sorry for any confusion this has caused.
