The Olympic Games are the most important tournament in the career of any volleyball player. And now, within the framework of the 33rd Olympics, for the 16th time in history, 12 teams that have qualified will compete for the title of Olympic Champion. And such an event is simply impossible to miss!
Who was among these lucky ones? First of all, this is the home team - the French national team. Following the results of the Olympic qualifying tournament, which took place from September 30 to October 8, 2023, six more teams received coveted trips to Paris. They were: Germany, Brazil, USA, Japan, Poland and Canada.
Four more teams qualified for the tournament based on their position in the world rankings. These lucky ones were Slovenia, Italy, Argentina and Serbia. And since national teams from all continents must be represented at the Olympics, the last vacant slot was taken by Egypt, as the African team with the highest world ranking.
So from July 27 to August 11 in Paris at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition center, the above-mentioned national teams will stage an unprecedented volleyball show.
