Open for the 11pm newscast on the Hearst-owned NBC affiliate serving Southwest Florida. Based in Fort Myers, it also covers Naples, Port Charlotte, and Cape Coral. Recorded on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
Earlier today on the 11am newscast, WBBH launched Hearst's updated Diagrid graphics package that was designed entirely by the company's in-house hub based at WESH in Orlando. They also picked up the Strive music package from In The Groove and these sound like updated cuts. Eric Gordon was kept as the voiceover and I imagine that is probably temporary until they can get Steve Stone added on like most other Hearst stations.
Unfortunately, I have not had luck getting these opens due to technical issues on the station's end, or the station choosing to cold open. This is the closest I got and even then, the open got cut off due to the station's master control cutting to the news production control late. I'll keep trying though until I can get a full open.
