Instrument Loop Diagram (Part - 12G)
The Instrument Loop Diagram (ILD)gives the details of the instrument connections / wiring from the field instrument side to the control room side (i.e. system Input/Output (I/O) system card details. For example, instrument loop diagrams from ANSI/ISA S5.4-1991 Instrument Loop Diagrams Standard, can be referred.
ILD Shows the following:
1) The field instrument to the control system (or vice versa)
2) The signal from the control panel to the control system (or vice versa)
3) The signal from the MCC to the control system (or vice versa)
4) The signal from one control system to another
