Instrument Hook Up Diagram / Drawing (Part - 12H)
A hook-up drawing is a drawing which shows the correct installation of instruments so that the instrument works accurately by preventing the measurement effect, such as a liquid trap in the gas impulse line.
1) A hook-up drawing gives details of the required bulk material such as tubes, fittings, other accessories for hook-up for both process and pneumatic instruments based on tag numbers.
2) This drawing indicates tubing slopes, position of instruments with reference to the process tapping point, scope break between instruments and piping.
3) They also detail the specifications such as size, type, material and the quantity.
4) It should include standard specifications for welding of hook-up piping, heat tracing and insulation, pressure testing and painting requirements.
