What will you learn?
This video tutorial covers styling a button. Our Titan expert will help you learn about button states and best practices to set the styles of interactive element states.

To begin, the button element is an interactive graphic that enables users to trigger an action. The Titan Web builder has two types of buttons on offer: a primary and secondary button. These buttons can be styled differently using the Project Style and the Element style panels.

Since a button calls a user to take action, we recommended giving users an indication of when they are hovering or pressing a button. For this reason, we provide three states for your buttons: default, hover, and clicked.

While you can style each button state to look completely different from the other, Titan recommends that you make your buttons look similar to ensure a consistent look and feel.

To ensure your buttons feel consistent, create the default style first. This is how your button will display to users when they are not interacting with the button. Click on the next button state you want to configure and select Copy from Default State, this ensures that the exact styling is carried across. You can then make changes to the button state to make them different from one another.
