Methi or fenugreek (Trigonella corniculata) is an important medicinal vegetable which is commonly used as fresh vegetable during winter, spring season but used as dried through out the year. Its seed producing capacity is 8-10 maunds per acre. Its pure seed preparation is fairly difficult. During the recent years automatic bed shaper cum planter has facilitated its mechanical cultivation, post emergence spray of flumetsulam 80 WG herbicide @ 8 g/acre has facilitated the selective control of dicot weeds like jangli palak an jangli halon and mechanical threshing has facilitated recovery of its minute seeds from matured legumes.
