In this video, Gregory explains and demonstrate a simple Radio Beacon designed from scratch, using an AVR microcontroller and a logic gate to transmit information using Spread Spectrum BPSK modulation.
Demodulation of the data is accomplished using a custom SDR - Software Defined Radio - written in Javascript. A Tektronix RSA306 Real Time Spectrum Analyzer is used as the RF analog frontend, and the downcoverted IQ data is streamed to a NodeJS instance running the DSSS demodulator.
The Tektronix RSA306 API was binded to NodeJS, loading the DLL using ffi-napi.
