It's Been a Great Year! Can Next Year Be Better?
I made 50 video on this channel in 2023 and did three fairly large projects.
One of those is the 10 channel active amplifier I made from scratch and just recently made some changes to. The changes were to permanently fix a thermal tracking problem I had with the original amp design, and restore the blown channel.
Over the course of the year I tried different things in my listening room and have settled on what I think is the best arrangement. The missing piece is a preamp / control box that can house all of the extra stuff, plus provide controls I don't have, like bass and treble and volume and balance.
Speakers:
I'm still working on the coax array and have decided to veneer them with black walnut.
I'm also still considering the idea of making a limited run of open baffle speakers to sell and I'll be making a video on that design soon.
So that's at least three interesting projects that will be coming in 2024, and other ones that I think up as the year progresses. And of course I'll be doing more "theory" videos where I test, challenge, confirm or debunk some of the audio "truths" that are circulating.
