This video goes over how we can take any Heightmap Generated Terrain and start to improve the resulting mesh by fixing up the stretched vertical areas using Geometry Nodes in Blender.

There are a lot of ways we can solve these stretched faces on Heightmaps, but by using Blender and Geometry Nodes we will take a more procedural and repeatable workflow/process. This can also be used in combination with other methods such as sculpting or manually fixing up areas as well.

This video is the 2nd step in leading up to our final goal of using Gaea and Texture/Geometry improvement methods to give us the ability to create environment assets easily to improve our terrains/environments in Games/Unreal/Unity or Film/VFX. We will end up with geometry that is similar quality to what most Photogrammetry or Mid Range Lidar scan would produce.
