This is mentioned later in the video, but check the frames per second in OBS. This can be around 30 and still work really well. Some games require more, around 60 frames per second for really fluid motion. For these games be super careful with your processor. The steps for checking your CPU usage and your processor are mentioned below...
Start with the settings and work your way into the actual processor of your computer. If your computer is jamming it's processor, it will lag. Adding a lot to OBS will increase it's CPU percentage. Once this percentage reaches the limit (for your computer), it will start to chop and get laggy. Only use what you really really need in OBS regarding pictures and animations... don't overload OBS. You can always add these animations in with your video editing software after recording with OBS.
