This is an update on my journey growing Moringa plants both outdoors and indoors in zone 6a.

Moringa plants have long been revered for their amazing nutritious and medicinal qualities; so much that the moringa tree earned a new name called the “Miracle Tree.”

Though native to tropical and subtropical climates, Moringa plants have proven themselves to be remarkably adaptable when given the right care and conditions, even in regions far from the tropics. With the right approach, you can grow these miracle trees and enjoy their benefits all year long, regardless of your growing zone.

For gardeners like myself, living outside of tropical climates presents unique challenges, but it is possible to successfully cultivate Moringa trees by moving them indoors during the cold, freezing winters and cooler months. Having grown Moringa trees to maturity in the more challenging zone 6a, both indoors and outdoors, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge, discovering invaluable tips and tricks to keep these remarkable trees thriving even in non-ideal climates.
