In order to lock apps on iPhone, we’ll need to use the Shortcuts app. It comes pre-installed on iPhone but if you’ve previously deleted it, you can re-download it from the app store for free.
To lock an app on your iPhone, open the Shortcuts app and tap the plus sign in the top right corner to create a new shortcut. Tap Add Action. In the search bar at the top, type in Lock Screen. Tap Lock Screen when it appears in the search results. Then tap Done. After that, select Automation at the bottom. Tap the plus sign in the top right corner to create a new automation. In the search bar at the top, type in App. Tap Choose. Now, select all the apps you would like to lock. Tap Done when you’re finished. Then select Run Immediately. Make sure Is Opened is selected so your screen will lock whenever someone tries to open the selected apps. Tap Next. Then select the Lock Screen shortcut we created. Once this is done, if you try to open one of the apps you chose to lock, your screen will automatically lock and you’ll either need to use Face ID or enter your passcode to get back into your device.
