How to Locate AirTag on iPhone in 2025
AirTags are a very useful tool to help you locate your luggage, purse, or whatever else you might attach them to. Watch this video to learn how to precisely locate an AirTag using your iPhone.

To locate your AirTag using your iPhone, begin by opening the Find My app. If you don’t have it or you’ve deleted it from your device, you can download it for free from the app store. In the menu at the bottom of the Find My app, select Items. You’ll then see a list of all the AirTags you have linked to your Apple ID, and be able to see their locations on a map above. Tap one to see more details and tools to help you locate your AirTag. You can have it play a sound to help you figure out where it is, and also use the Find Nearby tool once you’re close enough to it. This will help you precisely locate your AirTag once you’re within a range of a few meters. Follow where the arrow points you along with playing a sound on your AirTag to help you find it.
If you aren’t able to find your AirTag, you can put it into lost mode. This will allow you to add contact information and a brief message, so if someone finds your missing item with the AirTag they will be able to get in touch to return it to you.
