[NEW 4K SCAN] The Beatles - Live at Metropolitan Stadium, Minneapolis (August 21st, 1965) [8mm Film]
A major thanks to Darrin Miernicki, who first posted this footage in 2023 and was kind enough to send his film to get professionally scanned!
I am proud to unveil this brand new professional transfer of this 8mm film capturing the Beatles performing live at Metropolitan Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 21st, 1965. Darrin quietly posted this film alongside other home movies onto YouTube last year, but I hope you all will notice the significant improvement from the old transfer compared to this new one. The colors finally pop! Also, this version is around 30 seconds longer than previously available, as Darrin had chosen to cut out some of the less detailed shots originally. While this film is not the best ever, as it's somewhat out of focus and shakey, it still has historical significance and I find it to be an enjoyable watch!
For all of this film, I have dubbed in sound from the same show and ensured the sync was as accurate as possible - this is a much better sync job than before!
Lastly, a major thanks to Nicki Coyle at the Negative Space for her excellent work in scanning the film, whose state-of-the-art equipment allowed for this to receive the best quality scan possible. I hope you all enjoy!
