In this review, I will share my thoughts and experience with Malcare, a security plugin from Blog Vault that has a very hefty price tag. If you want to upgrade and have 20% discount on the first year, go to https://wp.discount/malcare/. Here we are. And then we are at the website of Malcare. They say they are the highest performance security plugin in the world, so I'm very curious about this one. So we're going to click on this button 'Protect your site for free'. And we can sign up for free with Malcare. So we fill in our email address. Make sure to use a very secure password. And then we press on 'Sign up'. Then we're going to enter in our site URL. In our case we are going to secure a website of mine: wpressdoc.com. Press 'Continue'. Then we can choose to let Malcare have entire access to our website and then auto-install the plugin. Or we can do it manually. Well, I'm not very comfortable with giving the keys to my castle to a plugin that I'm going to test out. So we're just going to press on 'Download' over here. And now the plugin has been downloaded. Than login to your WordPress website. Then we go on the left side to 'Plugins' - 'Add new plugin'. Over here we press on 'Upload plugin'. Then we go to select the plugin we've just downloaded from the Malcare website. Press 'Install now'. Well done. Now we press on 'Activate plugin'. After activating we are redirected to the app.malcare.com website. So now Malcare is analyzing our website. Now the way Malcare works is they are working with different kind of layers of security. While we wait, we can verify our email address. Then in your mailbox you will find this email from [email protected]. Might be in the spam mail. And then we'll just click on this blue button, 'Verify our email address'. After verifying let's get back to our Malcare dashboard. And you can see that the verification message is gone. And then we see that we have now we have the site is protected. 7/7. The scan is completed and we have monitoring activity. Now let's go to our dashboard in here. on the dashboard, you will see that Malcare is actually way more than just a security plugin, because it's part of an entire suite of plugins and systems to control and manage all your WordPress websites in one dashboard. It's part of Blog Vault and if you see my tutorial about Airlift, the free speeding up plugin, which is also from the same company, you can see that I'm talking about how all these things work together and how this actually works to manage all your WordPress websites. So this entire system and company is very interesting. If you manage a lot of WordPress websites. And that's exactly their target audience. All right. The first scan is completed. Now your site is clean. So if we click on this one, now we can see over here that our site is actually clean. No surprise there. And the firewall has been enabled and the monitoring is also active.
