Method-1: Run In-Place upgrade
• Go to the official Windows 11 download website. Link is given the description if you have any issue.
• Scroll down to “Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) for x64 devices”
• Click on Select Download.
• Select Windows 11 (multi-edition ISO for x64 devices).
• Click on Download Now.
• Click on Choose one and select a language.
• Click on Confirm.
• Click on 64-bit Download.
• The file will start downloading.
• Once completed, right click on the ISO file.
• Select Mount.
• Select Yes on Open file security warning.
• Double click on Setup.exe.
• On Install Windows 11 wizard, click on Next.
• Click Accept.
• Check the option Keep your personal files only.
• Click on Next.
• On the confirmation dialog, click on Yes.
• In some time, the lates Windows 11 version will be installed.
Now, come to the basic troubleshooting methods:
Method-2: Run Windows update troubleshooter
• Click on Start.
• Click on Settings.
• Select System.
• From the right, click on Troubleshoot.
• Select Other troubleshooters.
• Find Windows update and click on Run.
• Allow the process to complete.
• Follow the suggestions.
• Restart your PC.
Method-3: Reset Windows update cache
• Click on Search.
• Type cmd.
• Select Run as administrator.
• On the elevated command prompt, type the commands one line at a time and press Enter.
• For example, type net stop wuauserv and press Enter.
• In the same way, run all the commands. The commands are being given in description.
• Reboot the device.
Method-4: Run System File checker and DISM tools
• Click on Start.
• Type cmd.
• Select Run as administrator.
• Type SFC /SCANNOW and hit Enter.
• Let the command complete the execution.
• Next, run DISM Command line tools.
• Type DISM /Online /Cleanup-mage /Scanhealth and press Enter.
• In the same way, also run these 2 commands. We are giving these in the description.
• At last, restart your PC and check if KB is successfully installed.
Method-5: Uninstall third party software
• Click on Start.
• Select Settings.
• Click on Apps.
• Click on Installed apps.
• Find the third-party software.
• Click on 3 dots.
• Select Uninstall.
• Confirm by again clicking on Uninstall.
Method-6: Run Disk cleanup
• Click on Search.
• Type cleanmgr.
• Select Disk Cleanup.
• Select the drive.
• Click on OK.
• On this window, click on Cleanup system files.
• Again, select the drive and click on OK.
• Check all the boxes.
• Click on OK.
• Click on Delete all.
• Restart your computer and install the Windows update.
