Whopping cough spreading across Canada
Whooping cough is a highly contagious disease that is especially concerning for infants. TPH says nearly 100 cases have been identified in the city so far this year. That's more than double the pre-pandemic five year average of 38. Whooping cough can also be cyclical and occassionally increases in Ontario every two to six years.
