What is modern manufacturing?
The Manufacturing Institute's Make It campaign (www.makeit.org.uk) is designed to show young people that UK manufacturing is an important and exciting industry that competes on the basis of innovation, creativity and smart thinking.
Make It has engaged with over 60,000 young people in the last five years and worked with over 40 business partners - including Rolls-Royce Ltd, Siemens, BAE Systems and Jaguar Land Rover - to create a pipeline of talent for the various manufacturing sectors in the UK and beyond.
This animation was funded by SEMTA and is designed to show that apprenticeships in manufacturing represent a real pathway for young people and can be start of long and successful career in making stuff and designing the future!
