Muslims ask, “why did Jesus Christ need to be sacrificed for our sins?”

That’s a great question

First and foremost, Christ is not just a man. He’s the uncreated word of God by which all things were made before he was a man. (John 1:1-14)

One part of the One true God relinquished his glory (John 17:5) and emptied himself when He became flesh in the person of Jesus Christ (Philippians 2:6)

I know that you don’t believe that, but if you want to understand why He died for our sins, you need to give the all powerful God credit that he can do anything, including that.

When we sin we separate ourselves from God forever because God cannot sin. (Isaiah 59:2)

The law of Moses is impossible to follow. It proves that we are cursed. (Galatians 3:10)

For us to be justified, God himself has to provide the debt that we incurred and that’s exactly what he did in the flesh of Jesus. God provides that debt so that if we believe in him and only Him, we can be reconciled to God and be one with Him again. (Romans 3:24-25)

Real Christians aren’t living a life of sin. We live a daily spiritual war against our flesh (Galatians 5:16), and the devil and his angels. That’s the real enemy. (Ephesians 6:11) God gave us his Holy Spirit to fight, but if we reject his perfect son, our sins remain. (John 3:36) Nothing compares to the commands of Jesus Christ. Love your enemies. Pray for those who persecute you. (Matthew 5:44) Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39) as God loves you even though you hate Him and put Him on a cross when you sin. (Romans 5:8)

Repent.

John 1:1-3 - “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.”

John 17:5 - “And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.”

Philippians 2:6 - “rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.”

Isaiah 59:2 - “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.”

Galatians 3:10 - “For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: ‘Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.’”

Romans 3:24-25 - “and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith.”

Galatians 5:16 - “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.”

Ephesians 6:11 - “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

John 3:36 - “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.”

Matthew 5:43 - “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,”

Matthew 22:39 - “And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Romans 5:8 - “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
