Muslims claim that the Codex Sinaiticus in 330AD is the earliest complete manuscript of the Bible but that is grossly misleading.

All the texts included in Codex Sinaiticus existed LONG before this manuscript was compiled AND were in wide use all across the Mediterranean in the early Christian church. For instance, Papyrus P52, a fragment of the Gospel of John, dates to around 125 AD. Other early manuscripts, such as the Bodmer and Chester Beatty Papyri contain extensive portions of the New Testament.

These manuscripts collectively demonstrate that the texts of the New Testament were widely distributed and well recognized before the compilation of Codex Sinaiticus in 330ad.

Historians place the writing of the New Testament to the first century AD based on several lines of evidence.

But Why?

The Gospels describe events, cultural practices, and geographical details perfectly consistent with the first century. All Early Christian writers reference New Testament texts in their writings and those references perfectly match codex sinaiticus compiled centuries later. These references indicate that these texts were in wide circulation across the Roman Empire and authoritative during the first century AD.

Textual analysis, early citations, and historical context supports the scholarly consensus that the New Testament writings date to the first century.

As Christians, don’t let anyone tell you that the Bible has been corrupted. Most scholars agree that the opposite is true. The word of God is true and preserved.
