STORYLINE:
Venezuela's intelligence service deployed patrols in front of the Argentine embassy in Caracas on Saturday.
The embassy is currently in Brazilian custody after Nicolas Maduro's government ordered Argentine diplomatic officials to leave the country in August.
Six opposition leaders allied to Maria Corina Machado, who requested asylum last March, are housed in the embassy.
The Venezuelan asylum seekers reported on Friday on their social media accounts the presence of the intelligence services outside the residence and that the building's electricity had been shut off.
Venezuela's government has not commented on the issue.
