The Cove House is a weekend home nestled in a site swaddled by the mountains of the Western Ghats. The client wanted to build a space that would provide him with an opportunity to soak in the picturesque views of the backwaters of the Panshet Dam the site overlooked.
The most innovative part of the house is the 70' long roof structure. The ferrocement roof is constructed in a cost-effective way, which is a sustainable alternative to the conventional RCC technology.
Principal Architect Ankur Kothari walks us through this house made with local and natural materials that ensure that the house ages beautifully and seamlessly with the environment.
