If you ever felt uncomfortable when people talk about wine with elaborate words, sounding like experts, you are not alone. Many people experience Wine Anxiety. But it shouldn’t be the case because wine is supposed to be fun, enjoyable, and social.
The Wine Hour is a talk-show that removes Wine Anxiety. It answers the needs of wine lovers who are not necessarily experts. There are no tasting notes, wine scores, or virtual tastings. During each show, the host, Antoine Abou-Samra and The Wine Dream Team - Jaime Araujo (Founder and winemaker, Trois Noix, Napa); Akos Forczek (fine wine merchant, Top Selection Wine, London); Tanisha Townsend (Wine Expert, Girl Meets Glass, Paris); and our Honorary Member Ray Isle (senior wine executive editor, Food & Wine Magazine, New York - will take the audience on a discovery journey in the world of wine. The show is made of 3 segments: Uncorked is about commenting/debating the major trends affecting the industry, Licensed To Taste is about learning about wine in a friendly and non geeky way, and in Have A Drink With Me the audience discovers the story, region and culture of our special guest(s). The whole show is very dynamic with music being a very important component. Wine is just the excuse to start conversations. The issues we look into include climate change, the environment, diversity, equality, ethical business, etc.
