You don’t have to squeeze every penny and be a cheapskate. All you have to do is have a budget that will allow you to put away some money. It’s just a small percentage of your income every month, and over time it adds up.
Get this stuff handled when you’re young. Learn about retirements and mutual funds before you even start working.
You save money in case of an emergency, but the biggest motivator is for your future. When you’re older, you want to be finished with working life. You don’t want to be struggling financially in your golden years. So figure that stuff out now when you’re young.
