Taper off Clonazepam with 0.125 or 0.25 dissolvable wafers.
Many patients and even prescribers do not realize clonazepam can be tapered or stopped with 0.125 or 0.25 dissolvable wafers. Patients who have tried to decrease by breaking their 1 or 0.5 mg tablets into pieces, getting inconsistent doses and larger decreases than they can tolerate, may benefit from utilizing these wafers to make calculated and very small drops in dose. If a patient wants to make even smaller decreases, they can utilize a compounding pharmacy to create tablets with 0.05 or 0.1 mg exact adjustments.
