How to make UI sounds for Games
Learn how to make UI sounds for your games and apps. This tutorial will teach you how to use music theory in your game sound design to better complement the intention of the User Interface sounds.
We will be creating a menu navigation, menu open/close, option select, save and error button sounds. It's important to use the same instrument for the entire set to help keep it consistent and cohesive.
Sound can greatly impact the overall feel of your game, by having poor sound, the player can easily be taken out of a moment. User interface sounds might be the most heard sounds in a game. We use them to choose characters, input data, save our game and so on! Because they are played so much, it is important to have complementing sounds that fit, rather than jarring and unpleasant ones. It gives you a chance to introduce your theme to the player from the main menu.
