How to Make a Portal Opening and Closing Sound Effect
A tutorial video showing how to create a portal opening and closing sound effect from scratch. I go through my process from start to finish including brainstorming, recording, layering and editing with effects.
For my reference clip, I use a scene from X-Men: Days of Future Past. I use a basic iPhone to record my audio and Logic Pro X to edit my sounds.
