Check Your Thyroid at Home in Under 60 Seconds
You can check the anatomy of your thyroid gland at home in under 60 seconds. Here's how:
Step 1. Get a small glass of water.
Step 2. Stand in front of a mirror.
Step 3. Find the base of your neck and thyroid gland.
Step 4. Take a small sip of water, extend your neck back, and swallow.
Step 5. Monitor the base of your neck for bumps as you swallow.
Step 6. Repeat several times as necessary.
This simple procedure will give you information about the size, shape, and anatomy of your thyroid gland (think cysts, cancer, nodules, etc.) but it will NOT give you information about its function.
