Boxing Fight Scene (choreography practice)
Boxing Fight Scene I choreographed and fight coordinated. I learned SO MUCH on this one.. we wanted to do something difficult, and realistic boxing fight scenes are notorious for being hard to sell on camera.

My process on this was very short. I had an idea I wanted to try, and I asked the guys to meet me at a stunt gym for an hour to workshop the choreography. Once we had something we were happy with, I scheduled a day where we met up at Fourth Corner Boxing and filmed the piece in 2.5 hours total!
In hindsight I wish I had gotten the knockout punch from the other side, since the guys were making a bit of real contact.. that shot was initially meant to show the redirect of the punch, but in the edit I decided to use it to show the knockout... so I wish I'd gotten a nice closeup on Josh's face instead.
Another thing I learned is that when it's time to perform, I gotta direct the guys to really go for it at speed. Once they started actually trying to tag each other, I think the fight picked up a bit..
