Lessons for Life and Living! Parshat Nitzavim 5783: Put Your Heart Into Everything You Do
The double-barrel Parshiyot of Nitzavim and Veilech have a somewhat contradictory message to other. Parshat Nitzavim starts with Moshe assembling all of Bnei Yisrael to listen to his final words to them. They are there to hear about the covenant that God has set for them. The covenant includes God's circumcising their hearts. It's a crucial part of Torah and of following the commandments. One has to have one's heart in everything one does.
Yes, certainly -- one must DO! But when one does do, one must not forget to include one's heart, one's passion and one's love into everything.
Make sure to listen in from the beginning to the end in order to gain the most from the lesson.
