2-Barrel6 Creating Screw using IMM Brush, Split Unmasked Points, Detailing Metal Strips
Hi everyone,
This video covers how I created Screws on the side of the metal strips using IMM Industry Parts. When using Dynamesh we must be in Dynamesh mode, which is what we used for modelling this barrel.
I merged my metal strips to 1 subtool layer, by pressing Merge down. I can do split parts if I ever want to have separate subtools again.
Select IMM Industry Parts Brush. I set my draw size to a value of 10, and so when I create the IMM Shape (Left Mouse click) Then I hold down Ctrl, it will make all my screws to be same size of 10.
Everytime I finished creating an IMM Screw and I am happy with the placement, I press "Split Unmasked Points" Immediately. This is to prevent the screws from being struck and connected to the same subtool layer that I was on ( I don't want it to be struck to the metal strips)
So now I have 4 different layers of Screws, and I press merge down again to merge them all to 1 screw subtool layer. I renamed them as Barrel, Metal Stripe, and Screw subtool layer.
I added fine details on the metal strips by adding some alphas using no.8 Clay_Drag Rectangle brush, and also some brush strokes of Clay Build up Brush (No.1) and orb crack brush.
Have at least 3 Variation to all your brush sizes, shapes, depth, and spacing from each strokes to each other!

(Deep, Medium, Light stroke)
