How to Rotate or Replace Segmented/ Helical Jointer Blades
Learn how to rotate or replace helical jointer blades. If your jointer is not cutting smoothly anymore and your blades have been worn dull you can easily fix it. The first thing you can do is rotate the segmented jointer blade because most of them have multiple cutter heads. If you have already rotated your jointer blades then it will be time to sharpen the blades or replace them. I will do a full cleanout of the jointer cutterhead and replace all of my jointer blades in this video. They are also commonly known as jointer knives and I will be replacing all of them on my Rikon Jointer. Once the new blades have been installed I have some important woodworking tips to share with you in regard to keeping your jointer blades nice and sharp. I hope you enjoy!
