The king of small camper beds 👑
At some point you've probably asked yourself the question - Do I make a fixed or convertible bed for my campervan?
The main reason people avoid using fold out or pull out beds is because the setup time can be an absolute killer when it's late at night and the last thing you need is another van life chore before you can go to bed.
However, I knew that in a smaller van conversion like my Toyota HiAce, the multi-functional use of space that having a convertable bed offers was just way too good to pass up. Especially because I knew I wanted to ne able to spend longer periods of time on the road living in the van.
So I set about finding the most practical pull-out bed design that I could find on the internet.
And I believe I found it! One key feature is of course the use of heavy duty metal ball-bearing runners on the slide out frame to make the converion is quick and stress free as possible.
