If you’re doing a small van conversion you have two options as far as fridges go. First of all, if you’re building on a budget or aren’t prioritizing a super practical design, then get yourself a camping chest fridge that's as energy efficient as possible at your price point and accept that you will have to plan the rest of your build around this fridge because of its size and top opening lid. Second option being that if you’re going all out on your small build and challenging yourself to squeeze in the most practical design possible, then get yourself an upright fridge that will fit far easier into any of your designs, and accept that you will have to spend some money on quality to make sure it’s not sucking your battery dry.
