Daz 3D Free Lip Sync Animation Tutorial - Mimic Lip Sync Plugin
Looking for automatic and free lip sync software for your 3D characters? The Daz 3D Lip Sync Plugin can do most of the work in animating talking animations for your 3D characters.

The plugin only works on the 32-bit version of Daz Studio. 32-bit versions of Daz 3D Products must first be enabled in the Download Filters in the Daz Install Manager. In the 32-bit version of Daz Studio, you can go to Window - Panes (Tabs) - Lip Sync. This tab is only visible in this version of Daz Studio.
From this new tab, one can load the configuration file for the version of the character(s) that you have in your scene (i.e. Genesis, Genesis 2, or Genesis 3). Make sure you have the Genesis 2 and 3 Starter Essentials installed, so that you can locate the .dmc on your computer.
The audio file that informs the lip animation should be in the WAV format. Set it to 44.1 khz, 16 bit depth. I set my files to Mono instead of Stereo. The plugin is picky about the audio files being fed to it. There are example files that come with Daz Studio, so it is possible to compare your audio files with the example ones.
